The Frister & Rossman Cub 8 with the broken stitch selector.
I'd dearly love a replacement part, as this machine has sentimental value, as well as being a good one for teaching kids to sew on.

The machine. I love the way everything tucks away so neatly. The gadget box clips in front of the free-arm, and is held in with quite a strong magnet. The foot pedal slides in under it, and then the cover pops on top. The cable sits in the hole. Neat! |
First clue to the problem: ALL the stitch selecting buttons are down! |
When the top comes off, the problem is revealed... |
the stitch selector mechanism top flaps about and no longer holds the springs in place! |
The ends are broken! |
These two 'holes' should go round a rod that goes the whole length of the selector, but they have snapped off. They are plastic. |
|
In cleaning the bobbin case, I dropped the screw that holds the leaf spring in place! I cannot find it... I have the case and the spring, and need a screw.

The serial number. |
